Nina chose to grow several sizes this winter and is now in a girls size 4. Note - this is not 4x but 4. Ugh! All of her winter clothes were 4T. She also grew out of all of her really cute shoes that I got her - :(So since she needed a bigger coat I took her to a local department store that is usually overpriced but does have good clearance prices, hoping they had coats on clearance. They did - this one and no others! Luckily it is really cute and she loves it!! It is a size 6x but i figured it doesn't really look that huge on her and she grows so much so fast that maybe this one would actually last awhile! And the best part: $16!!!! I love clearance sales!!!
A few weeks ago I took her clothes shopping (went with my sister in law, Debbie and her grandaughter, Sadie, who is also Nina's cousin) and we spent the day searching clearance racks. By the end of the day Nina had the idea: when she saw something she liked she would say, "Mom, is this one on clearance?". Too funny. We did find some good deals and, thanks to our friends who send us hand me downs and our friend who loves to buy for her, she has a good wardrobe in her new size to get her through to warm weather. Provided she doesn't grow again until then anyway!! :)
I have one more picture to include from a morning a week or so ago - she takes awhile to wake up and this particular morning was no different. I had gotten her dressed but had not gotten to her hair yet. I came downstairs to find her watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse wearing her new Pink Panther sunglasses she got in a Burger King Kids Meal. She looked pretty funny to me all zoned out and outfitted like that! Hope you find it as funny as I did.

Gotta love them! The coat is beautiful - I understand why Nina loves it. Nina really does look zoned out. She must really like those sunglasses.

Well, I don't know if that's what I look like in the mornings, but that's what I feel like. It is SO hard for me to wake up!
The sunglasses are hilarious. The picture's even funnier when zoomed to see her zoned out expression. The coat is adorable too but she looks so much older! I can't even believe it. You need to come out here cuz you know I'll never make it out there. ;-}
